“Immaculate Heart of Mary, teach me to love as You do.”

Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary dates back to the 17th century, especially under the influence of St. John Eudes, who taught that the Heart of Mary “is the source and origin of all greatness” because of her role as Mother of Jesus and faithful spouse of the Holy Spirit.

To contemplate this heart is to enter the school of her humility, her purity, and that gentle strength that only a mother can impart. It is to feel embraced by a Mother who understands, who protects, and who intercedes with a love that never tires.

And in the light of Fatima, where Mary showed her Heart surrounded by thorns, “offended by the sins of humanity,” this maternal gesture becomes even more profound: her Heart is presented as a safe refuge and the path that leads to God.
